Northwood C.C. is now affiliated with the SOMHA (Seven Oaks Minor Hockey Association)

Northwood Community Centre has been providing services to our local area since 1953.  We offer hockey program, soccer and baseball programs for youth in our area in addition to drop-in programs and youth dances.  The centre is managed by a dedicated board of volunteer executive and funded by the City of Winnipeg and monies raised through bingo and hall rentals.

Our facility is capable of accommodating up to 340 people for a social function or reception.  We have kitchen facilities and a bar complete with staff and corkage.  We also have a smaller room available for showers or smaller functions.

We have a meeting room that seats 78 people comfortably.  This room has a white board available and public address system.  It is ideal for meetings, seminars, showers, training sessions, birthday parties, etc. Our larger gymnasium can seat 262 people quite easily.

Our gymnasium also available for use weekdays and evenings and also during the weekend.  This facility can accommodate classes for more physical activities and sports.  The high ceiling allows basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc. to be played comfortably indoors.  Martial Arts classes, football and soccer team can practice indoors during winter as well.  We have washrooms and change rooms available on site.

Northwood Community Centre is run on volunteers, fund-raising and donations. Activities will be affected if volunteers do not step up to take on these roles. If anyone is interested in volunteering, donating or coming on as a Board Member, its never too late.
